Dune Awakening - The Wreck of the Pallas

As part of the co-development between Yager and Funcom I was able to work on a number of the shipwrecks present in Dune Awakening. Mostly focusing on environment art, I took over the LD block-out of the wreck of the Pallas and brought it through the final art pass. I was responsible for placement and dressing. I also created supporting meshes when needed to achieve the concept and narrative goals of the shipwreck.

The wreck of the Pallas is a large shipwreck. I was responsible for both the exterior and interior environment art as well as the immediate surrounding area.

Access points into the wreck made extensive use of the damaged and broken exterior hull assets.

I was responsible for interpreting the LD block-out of this internal space. On theme with the ship I created an internal weapons bay, also creating the missile and missile racks to complete the scene.

A unique feature of the shipwrecks are the possibilities for narrative and story-telling from outside Arrakis. Here, with support from concept I created the tiled mural, a scene from Caladan.

On the main bridge of the Pallas I created the layout and general look of the space. In support of this area I also created the holographic planet of Caladan.

Here I modelled and textured the star map, showing the major planets featured in the Dune universe with their respective positions as well as the ship schematic board.
